IF you dream of making a million while sitting at home, and believe you have the ability to know how other people are thinking, then online poker might just be for you.
Some of the biggest names in poker have cut their teeth online, and many have made a few dollars without the need to leave their living rooms – or even get dressed for that matter!
And if you decide poker just isn’t for you, there a whole host of alternative options in an online casino with bet365 bonus code deal. But if you find you’re a natural at Texas Hold’em, and you stick to your betting limits, you might well end up earning yourself an invite to Las Vegas. If that occurs then anything might happen.
But before you even sign up for a game, at you’ve got to get to know what you’re playing, how to play it, and follow a few golden rules:
The Game
Texas Hold’em is the most popular form of online poker and before the cards are dealt, two players are forced to make initial bets, the big blind, BB, and the small blind, SB (half the big blind). The SB is always to the left of the dealer, the BB to the left of the SB. Each player is dealt two cards (hole cards) that only they can see. Next there is a round of betting when players can decide whether to play or fold their cards; remember if you place a bet, you may be raised by another player so set your limit and stick to it. If you’re not sure how good your hand is then don’t be forced into betting too much, too early.
The Flop
Players still remaining will see the flop – the first three cards of a total of five community cards dealt face up in the middle. After that a further round of betting where again you must decide how good your hand is with the five cards now in play: your two, plus the flop. Again, decide the merits of your hand before either raising or calling another player’s raise.
The Turn and the River
The fourth card is then dealt, the turn, after which another round of betting occurs. Now is the time to decide whether you’re in or out, with many players opting at this point to bet big. The fifth and final card, the river, is then dealt and a final round of betting occurs before players still remaining in the hand will show their two cards. Always remember throughout, you’re not just weighing up your hand, you’re looking at the possible hands of your opponents. If someone bets big at any point and you can see a potentially better hand then you’ve got, then you must decide whether it’s worth the risk of calling an opponent who could well have you beat – in the words of the song, you gotta know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em.
The winner at showdown is the player who has made the best hand using their hole cards and the cards in the middle to make the best possible five card poker hand. Visit Here: timesweb.org
Always remember to play to your limits: many gambling sites offer free games for those learning the ropes and you can play in games where entry is a few cents up to games where the entrance fee is in the thousands of dollars.
