The Delhi Police Constable Exam is a competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of Constable (Executive) Male and females in the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police Constable selection process consists of three stages – Computer-based Examination, Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) followed by the Medical Examination. The examination will be advertised by the Staff Selection Commission based on vacancies disclosed by Delhi Police. However, the Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies for recruitment. Not only that, implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster and earmarking of vacancies for different categories come under the purview of Delhi Police.
The candidates who wish to apply for the Delhi Police Constable exam have to apply through online mode. The first stage of Delhi Police Constable recruitment is the Computer-based Examination, and it is conducted in English and Hindi only. After the candidates have cleared the first level, they are called for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT). This level is qualifying in nature, and it is scheduled and conducted by the Delhi Police in Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria of Delhi Police Constable
Here are a few eligibility criteria required for Delhi Police Constable:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The minimum age limit for this exam is 18 years, and the maximum age of the candidate can be 25 years. However, certain categories of candidates have age relaxations.
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognised Board.
- The Educational qualification can be relaxable up to 11th passed for the:
- sons/daughters of serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police Personnel/ Multitasking Staff of Delhi Police, and
- Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of Delhi Police only
- Male candidates must possess a valid driving licence for LMV (Motorcycle or Car) as on the date of PE&MT. A learner’s licence is not acceptable.
Exam Pattern of Delhi Police Constable Exam
The Delhi Police Constable Exam has three levels, which are as follows:
- Computer-based Examination
- Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
- Medical Examination
Computer-based Examination
This stage of the examination has only one paper, which consists of 100 questions for 100 marks. The candidates can know the list of subjects in this paper and their weightage from the table given below:

The candidates must note that there is a negative mark of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Therefore, the candidates are advised to attempt the questions they are sure about and answer other questions by taking calculative and intelligent risks. The question paper shall be of Matriculation Level.
Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
The eligibility certificates/documents will be collected from the candidates, and the Delhi Police will verify them at the time of the PE&MT stage. There are separate criteria for males and females to pass this test, and also, different age categories have different standards to pass this level.
